Last week, Catalyst’s five-day inSight festival of science, technology and innovation, featuring over 20 free films, talks and demonstrations, wowed Wakatipu audiences with a sneak peek into our future. Hundreds of young people participated in our future-focused programme for schools, resulting in students asking their teachers for more science, please!
inSight will be back in 2016 with another bigger, brighter event, so stay in touch by emailing connect@catalystnz.org or signing up to Catalyst’s ‘early warning system’ newsletter.
We thank our community for your support, with special mention going to the Brain Health Research Centre, Wakatipu High School, Curious Minds, University of Otago, Centre for Science and Citizenship, Centre for Science Communication, Otago Museum, Dick and Diana Hubbard Foundation, Queenstown Lakes District Council and Mainfreight.
For now, normal services resume, with Catalyst continuing to provide the spark needed to bring great ideas, compelling speakers, innovative and often provocative thinking and creativity to the Wakatipu basin and beyond. It’s about making Queenstown a place to come for mental as well as adrenal challenge. It’s about upping the ante on stuff that matters.
