University of Otago’s Winter Lecture Series stretches through to spring for Catalyst in Queenstown, as Professor David Hutchinson, Director of the Dodd-Walls Centre for Photonic and Quantum Technologies, talks quantum physics.
As leader of one of the Government’s new National Centres of Research Excellence, Professor Hutchinson hopes to demonstrate that quantum physics is a beautiful triumph of understanding, yielding insight in to the way the world really behaves. He reveals how quantum physics underpins many aspects of modern technology, offering great potential for New Zealand’s economic growth.
