Heather Hayden, CEO of Birthright NZ and formerly of Save the Children NZ, speaks at this U3A talk.

The person who wrote what has become the Convention on the Rights of the Child once said, “Every generation of children gives humankind the possibility of rebuilding the world.” What does this mean for our future when in today’s world record numbers of children are displaced by war, poverty and climate change?

Heather Hayden is the Chief Executive of Birthright NZ and has led organisations focusing on vulnerable children and refugees. She feels passionately that every child, no matter wherever they are, has the right to a happy, healthy and fulfilling life.

$5 admission.
