Speaker: Dr Jennifer Moore, Dept of Preventive Medicine, previously at the Otago Faculty of Law

Families who lose loved ones to preventable death do not want their lives ‘to be wasted’. Jennifer presents the findings of her study of coronors’ recommendations which was funded by the Law Foundation. What is the nature of coronial recommendations? How do the organisations that receive them respond?

Jennifer is a lawyer with a PhD in Public Health/Health Sciences. She undertook this research when she was Senior Research Fellow and the Acting Director of the Legal Issues Centre in the Law Faculty.
